For a while now readers and fans of Dr. Anderson Reynolds have been requesting ebook versions of his books. So Jako Books is pleased to inform you that ebooks of the author’s three books—The Stall Keeper, The Struggle for Survival: an historical, political and socioeconomic perspective of St. Lucia, and Death by Fire—are now available on Amazon.
Readers have also been suggesting that the author turns his books into movies. Though a huge challenge, it is an endeavor that is under serious consideration. So hopefully you will have the pleasure of watching movies of some of Dr. Reynolds books in the near future.
But for now, those of you who, due to unavailability or inaccessibility, haven’t had the satisfaction of reading all three of Dr. Reynolds books can now do so as ebooks. Note, however, the physical books are available online. Following are links to where you can purchase the books either as ebooks or hard copies.
The St. Lucia Renaissance
Note, even if you have read The Struggle for Survival, you may still want to acquire the ebook version because it includes a new chapter (the longest chapter of the book) on the golden era of St. Lucian art and culture, amply called the St. Lucia Renaissance, that gave rise to such artistic and literary giants as Derek Walcott, Dunstan St. Omer, Garth St. Omer, Roderick Walcott, and Charles Cadet, who, arguably, have remained unmatched in St. Lucia in their respective fields of artistic endeavor.

My Father is no Longer There
Soon, sometime next year, Dr. Reynolds will have another treat for you—his long-awaited memoir, My Father is no Longer There. According to the covercopy, “On a wet Monday morning, a car runs off the road and kills the author’s father who is on his early morning walk, a short distance from his home. In coming to terms with his father’s senseless and accidental death, the author has written a beautifully crafted, evocative memoir reminiscent of the writings of Jamaica Kincaid and Toni Morrison. My Father is no Longer There is nothing less than a meditation on the nature of death, the value of a life, the nature of art and creativity, and what it means to be different, to be an outsider, to live on the fringes of society. It is a manifestation of the author’s quest to get to know his father better than when he was alive. It is an exploration of family values, the depths of parental love and sacrifice, and the importance of parent-child bonding. My Father is no Longer There will resonate with all those who have suffered a great loss, be it the death of a loved one, or a parent-child separation.
